Who should take this class?
Everyone can benefit from this private training session. Whether you are brand new to handguns, or have lots of experience shooting, there will be something new to learn and skills developed. This session is tailored around your needs and training objectives.
If you are looking to obtain a Texas LTC, this class is perfect for you as well. The Texas License to Carry proficiency demonstration (shooting qualification) can be completed during the training session.
Class Size: Private training for 1 – 3 people. Train one-on-one or bring a friend or two. Just select how many people there will be during booking.
Class Objectives: This is a personalized training class, which means it is tailored to your skill level to cover and train on what you need. We will cover as much as possible within the full training block. You can use your own handgun or rent one from us. Below are popular topic options that can be covered:

Scheduling/Time: This is a 3-hour long class. Please select a date/time from the scheduler above to reserve your training session.
Location: Staccato Ranch, Florence TX.
Prerequisites: None. No prior shooting experience is needed.
Equipment Needed: At a minimum, you will need to following:
- Handgun with magazines (unless renting)
- 200-300 rounds of ammunition (unless renting)
- Hearing protection (can be provided upon request)
- Eye protection (can be provided upon request)
- Close toe shoes
- Clothing appropriate for all weather possibilities
- Hat (recommended)
- Sunscreen (recommended)
- Water
A Glock 19 with red dot is available for rental.

Owner/Instructor
Joel is the owner and lead firearms instructor for Blue Line LTC LLC, which consists of LTC Austin, OnlineTexasLTC.com, and GunSafetyTrainingPro.com. Starting in 2018, Joel began teaching firearms and LTC classes while working as a police officer and training instructor for the Austin Texas Police Department. While working for the Austin PD from 2012-2020, Joel gained real world experience and training as an instructor and student. After leaving the police department in 2020, Joel has been teaching firearms and tactics full time as well as continuing his own training and personal development.

Class Policies - Scheduling/Cancellations/Refunds
In-Person Class Policies
Scheduling:
If you can’t make the scheduled class date, please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule. If a reschedule is requested 5 or less days from the date of the class, but still 24 hours before the class time, a $60 fee will be charged to reschedule.
Reschedule requests within 24 hours of the class start time will incur a $100 fee to reschedule. Classes cannot be rescheduled on or after the start date and time.
Please arrive at the range location 5-10 minutes prior to the schedule class time. This will allow for signing of waivers and getting checked in. If you arrive late, the class end time does not extend to make up for your late arrival. The class start and end times remain the same even with late arrivals. If you want to reschedule because of a late arrival, a $100 fee will be charged.
Refunds:
If a cancellation is requested more than 5 days from the class date, a full refund may be given. If a cancellation is requested 5 or less days from the day of the class (but not the same day as the class), a 50% refund will be provided.
Refunds requested the same day as the class are not eligible for a refund.
There are no refunds for online class purchases.
The instructor can terminate a class at any time because of unsafe firearms handling and/or failure to follow stated safety rules. No class refunds will be provided.
LTC Proficiency Demonstration
The license to carry qualification requires students to know how to safely handle and shoot a handgun from 3 yards to 15 yards. It is not a class on how to shoot. Any students that show up to a proficiency demonstration/qualification without prior handgun experience will be turned away. This is based solely on the discretion of the instructor. No refunds will be provided.
No refunds will be issued for failed LTC qualifications. At the discretion of the instruction, LTC qualifications can be scheduled again with another session purchase.
