Refund, Privacy, and Terms of Use Policies

Firearms and Accessories Refund Policy

All firearm sales are final. Firearms are not returnable/refundable. Once the form 4473 has been completed, the sale is final. Accessories and other products, excluding special order items, are refundable for 7 days after receipt of the item. All refundable items will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Special order items will be subject to the restocking fee and may only be returned on a case by case basis.

In-Person Class Policies

Scheduling:

If you can’t make the scheduled class date, please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule. If a reschedule is requested 5 or less days from the date of the class, but still 24 hours before the class time, a $60 fee will be charged to reschedule. 

Reschedule requests within 24 hours of the class start time will incur a $100 fee to reschedule. Classes cannot be rescheduled on or after the start date and time.

Please arrive at the range location 5-10 minutes prior to the schedule class time. This will allow for signing of waivers and getting checked in. If you arrive late, the class end time does not extend to make up for your late arrival. The class start and end times remain the same even with late arrivals. If you want to reschedule because of a late arrival, a $100 fee will be charged. 

Refunds:

If a cancellation is requested more than 5 days from the class date, a full refund may be given. If a cancellation is requested 5 or less days from the day of the class (but not the same day as the class), a 50% refund will be provided.

Refunds requested the same day as the class are not eligible for a refund. 

There are no refunds for online class purchases. 

The instructor can terminate a class at any time because of unsafe firearms handling and/or failure to follow stated safety rules. No class refunds will be provided. 

LTC Proficiency Demonstration

The license to carry qualification requires students to know how to safely handle and shoot a handgun from 3 yards to 15 yards. It is not a class on how to shoot. Any students that show up to a proficiency demonstration/qualification without prior handgun experience will be turned away. This is based solely on the discretion of the instructor. No refunds will be provided. 

No refunds will be issued for failed LTC qualifications. At the discretion of the instruction, LTC qualifications can be scheduled again with another session purchase.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products or Services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer. All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at anytime without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Joel is the man. Very refreshing to see an instructor that is a good shooter, a fast shooter AND an intelligent shooter. To hear "your dot is your permission to fire", is way better than the trend to sacrifice accuracy for speed or safety. Joel covers everything from mechanical fundamentals to situational considerations. It was just really great to take a class where accuracy is THE standard. Focus is to build and get repetitions on good fundamentals and good mechanics. And he's just a good dude.

I have grown up shooting, and wanted to get my LTC as a woman who travels alone often. I took the Online LTC Class, and learned a lot about laws regarding guns and gun safety. The online class is easy to follow, and I never felt like I was overloaded with unnecessary information. During the Proficiency Demonstration, Joel ensured no questions I had were left unanswered, and even suggested holsters and handguns based on my preferences. I was a bit nervous as one would be for any test, but Joel made me feel comfortable and gave me pointers on how I can improve my shooting and grip. Joel is professional, friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend LTC Austin to anyone looking to learn more and obtain their license to carry.

From the very informative and thorough online LTC training to Joel’s 1 on 1 proficiency evaluation, I was very impressed with the value received for the cost of the LTC package. Being a retired military member, I have been shooting for over 40 years. The online training helped remind me of extremely important safety and maintenance topics related to gun owner responsibility. The content on Texas laws regarding open and concealed carry was invaluable, and helped me realize why, despite not legally required in Texas, obtaining an LTC is an absolute necessity. Joel’s 1 on 1 range proficiency evaluation session was amazing. He is a consummate professional, and was very thorough with the evaluation. He provided complete and valuable answers to all my questions, and offered practical advice to help improve my shooting skills (grip position, timing, etc.) I highly recommend this course to anyone seeking a complete training package for their LTC.

Joel was a friendly, patient, concise, and knowledgeable teacher. He answered my initial inquiry promptly and thoroughly, and gave excellent advice and hands-on instruction. Joel is a great instructor. My daughter and I had a private lesson that was perfectly tailored to each of our skill levels. He was very thorough with his instruction and provided very helpful feedback. We are planning on registering for another lesson to further increase our shooting skills. Bill was a fantastic instructor. I'd previously taken my CHL course, but taking Bill's course in a private setting was the most enjoyable experience possible. Bill is professional, knowledgeable, and he was very observant of health and safety guidelines for social distancing. We really appreciated his attention to detail, and how easy he made the process. Bill will communicate everything you need for the class, and for afterwards, and can even provide firearm rentals for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend Bill for any firearm training you need.

I moved to Texas from Florida few months ago and needed to switch to a Texas LTC from my Florida Concealed Weapons Permit that was expiring soon. While filling out the required paperwork for the LTC, I found out you could take classroom portion online! There were quite a few options available, so I looked for a local Austin (well, Leander) based business to support. I signed up for the LTC Austin online course to keep myself busy during the current Stay-at-Home order. The courses were thorough and easy to navigate. I really appreciated being able to do it on my own time, rather than sitting in a classroom for 5 hours like I had to do in Florida. It was a great refresher for a lot of basics and coming from another state, I found the coverage of Texas specific laws incredibly valuable, having seen many of the signs posted around town already. They have a partnership with Shady Oaks Gun Range in Cedar Park that I plan on scheduling my LTC Proficiency Demonstration with as soon as they are able to start booking them again.

Online class was informative and well done. I had no problem watching all the video segments and taking the exam at the end. Mr joel is The best he did super great job in online video class and answer all my question before i took online ltc class he is highly recomended .in the end just want to say mr joel thank you for all your hard work sir you are a great person

Really liked the online class. Goes over lots of scenarios. Very thorough. Throughout the whole process the instructor is always available for any questions you have. Even after you complete the course which is very helpful.

I did the online course instead of the classroom setting, it was straight forward and gave me all the information i needed. video segments weren't super long, except for the videos covering the laws but thats to be expected. you can complete the segments at your own leisure so you can do it in your free time. Joel was flexible with scheduling the proficiency exam, which I appreciate because my work schedule fluctuates. Good clear instructions while conducting exam. Professional yet laid back, with a wealth of knowledge to share. Highly recommended 👍

Excellent class and excellent online user interface. I did it on my computer, iPhone and iPad and it all worked seamlessly. Scheduling for the proficiency was fast and easy. Joel made going to a range that I had not been to before very comfortable and easy. He was definitely there to help not there to show off. I had lots of questions: choice of gun, choice of holster, practice strategies, etc. and he patiently answered all of them.

This review is for the on-line Texas LTC class. The videos are broken into 15-20 minute segments and are easy to follow. Joel brings real life law enforcement perspective to all aspects of gun and public safety. I completed the class on my PC and android phone over several days on my own pace. I received the Texas LTC certificate....just need to schedule the proficiency demonstration. Thanks Joel!
